'Dead Airbourne Goats' Flyer featuring
Phantasm
Here's a peculiar
item... the band Dead Airbourne Goats, self-described as a "a band who
play punk/garage/surf rock" and "trash rock", use wacky flyers to
promote their upcoming gigs. Some of these take from popular culture
and some are just weird in a really abstract way. For example, one
flyer simply says "an evening with the DEAD AIRBOURNE GOATS" and
features an image of B-movie actor Tor Johnson. I think they're out of
Boston, but can't say for sure.
While the Tor Johnson bit is cool, the flyer I want to share with you
borrows from the original Phantasm poster. It appears below. While
their website hasn't been updated since sometime in 2002, you can still
visit them here.
