Dennis Robinson's 'Sentinel Sphere 3-D Game'

Technically-savy fan Dennis Robinson has embarked on an ambitious new project with his group 'Nurmweb3D'. He's making a 3rd-person-action game based on Phantasm! The twist is that the player controls one of the sentinel spheres! Excited much?

According to Dennis, the game will begin on the Red Planet so the player can become familiar with the controls in a big open area (a training level, essentially, shown in video above.) Once you're finished training, you'll fly through the space-gate and enter the Morningside Mausoleum to kill intruders. Once a level is complete, the player returns to the Red Planet to receive upgrades by the Tall Man. Then more space-gate portals appear and the player gains access to new areas to terrorize.

Dennis is currently elbow-deep in the game but has been cool enough to send along some development photos and a way-awesome video of that training level. "This is a pretty big project for me and I am spending most of my time on it" he says. Dennis promises to keep us updated on his progress and you can bet we'll keep you updated. Once completed, the game will be offered as freeware. Until the Nurmweb3D website is completed, you can visit Dennis at his MySpace.
